Replacement knee surgery can help patients whose knee or knees have degenerated due to osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or post-traumatic arthritis due to injury. A total knee replacement (TKR) surgery will help patients with these conditions, replacing the damaged, diseased or worn knee with an artificial joint. In conventional TKR surgeries however, patients will need to be hospitalised for three to five days.
